Starting out making wafers
Gardiners have been supplying its customers with quality
confectionery since 1949.
Today, two generations of the family are involved in the
everyday running of the business: Tom and Maureen and their
son and daughter Tom and Hazel. Together they ensure that
the highest standards are maintained in every aspect of the
business.
The family originally made nougat wafers to complement their own dairy ice creams. Gardiner ice cream and confectionery stalls made regular appearances at the Royal Highland Show and the British Open golf Championships and were always great favourites with the punters.
We then found that there was an increasing demand for macaroons and tablet and before long these lines took over from the original wafers. By 1986 we were in full production to meet the demands of our growing base of sweet-toothed customers.
Supplying customers around the world
Sixty years on, we are a well established and respected firm
of confectionery manufacturers offering an extensive range
of traditional products made with the finest ingredients.
Our lines range from Malt Whisky Selections to the Scottish
speciality, 'Edinburgh Rock'.
Our strength lies in our own production capacity that allows us to add new and bespoke recipes to the range, giving more choice of exclusive, delicious confectionery to our customers.
We've come a long way from wafers and ice creams. Today our confectionery has won many industry awards, as has our attractive packaging. But what still delights us most is the pleasure our products give - even today when our customers come from all over the world.
