Edinburgh Rock
Edinburgh
Rock is perhaps the best known of Scotland's confectionery delights
but it came about by accident.
A local sweet maker, popularly known as 'Sweetie Sandy' discovered
a piece of confectionery which he had overlooked and left lying
untouched for several months.
This seemingly improbable start gave birth to one of 19th century
Edinburgh's most successful confectioners- and Edinburgh Rock,
which is now exported all over the world.
Gardiners ever-popular Edinburgh Rock comes in three packages including
both sticks and bite-sized chunks.
